PESHAWAR: Chief Minister NWFP Ameer Haider Khan Hoti said NWFP is facing insurgency since past few years.Addressing a police Darbar here on Tuesday, chief minister praised NWFP police role in present circumstances and said measures would be taken to improve the infrastructure and to train police. He announced the 100% raise in NWFP police salaries and increment in compensation for martyrs from Rs.one million to 1.5 million.Earlier, IG NWFP Malik Naveed addressing the Darbar vowed that terrorism would be rooted out and the role of NWFP police in war against terrorism will be written in golden letters. Police personnel sacrificed their lives to protect people and maintain law and order.
